Traditionally 'žlikrofi' are served with 'bakalca' sauce – a sauce made of lamb and vegetables.

French generals... Speaking of the French, we are obliged to boast with
the fact that the great love of Napoleon Bonaparte came from Idrija.
Eve Lucia Cecily Victoria Emilia Kraus was also known as the 'Dog
Countess'. Dressed as a lieutenant, she accompanied him in his greatest
battles. Why Dog Countess ... find out yourselves.
During the Idrija Lace Festival all visitors are kindly invited to
visit the Miner's house where it is possible to see the whole process
of making 'žlikrofi' and you can also taste them yourselves.
